The Amador Tuolumne Community Action Agency (ATCAA) provides assistance to low–income individuals and families in the form of weatherization and water conservation services as well help with utility payments. In Amador, Calaveras, and Tuolumne Counties.

The income ranges below represent guidelines, not guarantees. Clients will not receive benefits until they apply for and are processed through the Energy and Weatherization Department. For households with more than (7) members, or any other information, please contact our ATCAA Energy Intake Specialists.
Monthly Income Levels
One client household up to $2,091.92; Two client household up to $2,735.58;
Three client household up to $3,379.25; Four client household up to $4,022.92;
Five client household up to $4,666.58; Six client household up to $5,310.25;
Seven client household up to $5,430.94
Applicant must be a citizen of the United States
Applicant must be a resident of the County in which they are applying for service.

Depending on your circumstance; whether you need help paying your bill or keeping your utilities from being shut off, we may be able to help. We work with most propane providers across the tri-county area and make payments directly to the propane vendor on your behalf. Although we make an immediate pledge to the utility provider, please note that payments may take 6-12 weeks.

Our energy–saving home improvements may include repair or replacement of exterior doors and windows, water heaters, stoves, furnaces and coolers, refrigerators and microwaves. We also install water restrictor-aerators, energy-sipping LED’s (compact florescent lights), door weather stripping, carbon monoxide and smoke detectors, sealing and patching of small cracks and holes and other minor repairs which help to conserve energy. We’ll also provide education on reducing your energy costs.

Water Conservation services include the repair or replacement of your water appliances and devices, all at no cost to you, This service will lower your water bill and help conserve our most valuable life sustaining resource – water. This may include low-flow faucets, showerheads, high efficiency washing machines, and dishwashers.

PG&E offers utility rate discounts through its CARE Program for clients below certain income levels. Our Energy Assistance specialists will be happy to help you lower your monthly utility rates. Learn more and download the application here.
